This model is new and has never been exhibited before. It comes from the 'forgotten stock' of a toy retailer and has only now been rediscovered – along with other CMC models. This is a rare opportunity to acquire this special edition model, long sold out, in mint condition. Only a few pieces are available.

I check the model for damage before shipping, as it has been in its original packaging for over 10 years.

You will receive an invoice WITHOUT VAT shown, in accordance with §25a UStG.

With the Talbot Lago Coupé, the CMC management is fulfilling a long-held dream. In CMC's early years, this sophisticated car model was "a bit too big" to meet the high modeling standards of this century classic. From today's perspective, after more than 20 years of experience in classic car model building, we were now ready to recreate this dream car as a top-of-the-line, high-end model, featuring a teardrop body by the French sheet metal virtuosos Figoni & Falaschi – a bodywork whose elegance and unparalleled aesthetics are second to none.

When CMC decided to recreate the Talbot Lago Coupé with its Figoni & Falaschi “Teardrop” body as a model, our model makers' hearts raced with excitement, and the joy of being able to recreate such a work of art was immense. But at the same time, there was also the challenge and obligation to do justice to this demanding project.
Many experts around the globe agree that this vehicle simply cannot be judged by the standards normally applied to automobiles. The Talbot Lago, with its body crafted by the renowned French metalworkers Figoni & Falaschi, is a car that seems to come from another planet. It is simply what one would call "state of the art" today.

When Talbot first presented the coupé at the 1937 Paris Motor Show, onlookers were immediately swept away by its almost breathless enthusiasm. Everything about this fascinating vehicle, every detail, testifies to a deep love, almost an obsession, for perfect design and matching accessories. Adding to its appeal was a metal sunroof, a rare feature for the time. A luxuriously appointed interior, with its artful craftsmanship in fine wood and exquisite leather, created a comfortable atmosphere, while a silky-smooth inline six-cylinder engine, producing between 140 and 160 hp depending on the version, provided passengers with the ultimate driving experience.
When Anthony Lago signed an exclusive collaboration agreement in 1937 with the already internationally renowned French designer Giuseppe Figoni and his partner Ovidio Falaschi, the flagship product of this partnership was the so-called "Teardrop" coupé, of which only 16 examples were produced between 1937 and 1939. The first production series, called the "Jeancart," comprised five units. The second production series, unveiled at the 1937 New York Auto Show, consisted of 11 vehicles built exclusively with the T150C-SS chassis and a short wheelbase of 2,650 mm. This batch became known as the "Model New York" in the Talbot-Lago annals. Each individual car differed in either subtle or more significant details. A typical example is the headlight design, which was either mounted freely between the radiator grille and the fenders or recessed into the bodywork behind a chromed metal bar.
Anthony Lago, together with his chief engineer Walter Brecchia, were technologically far ahead of their time. First and foremost was the shortened and lightweight T150C-SS chassis. Independent suspension, a Wilson 4-speed preselector gearbox, excellent brakes, and, as already mentioned, a smooth-running inline six-cylinder engine, were further technical highlights of this exceptional vehicle.
