Today I am offering the collection of a former CMC dealer and long-time collector of these beautiful models. Almost all of them are in new condition in their original packaging with all accessories as shown in my photos. If the model has leather straps for closing the hoods, these have never been opened. In many cases, the security stickers are still present. Everything should be clearly visible in the photos. One or two original packages may show signs of storage.

You will receive an invoice according to §25a UstG without showing the statutory VAT for used goods.

Model Description:

As part of our newly developed model series of the Talbot Lago Type T 150 C-SS "Teardrop", we would like to highlight the variant, item no. M-179 as a "Memory Edition" in a metallic, aubergine paint finish. This vehicle, formerly presented in the Rosso Bianco Collection in Aschaffenburg, inspired our late CMC co-founder Mr. Herbert Nickerl so profoundly that the idea of creating a high-quality CMC model of one of these breathtaking automobiles never left him.

With the CMC "Memory Edition" of the Talbot Lago "Teardrop" (with headlights embedded in the body), we have now made his model dream come true.

In the early years of CMC, this demanding car type was "still a size too big" to meet the high model requirements of this century classic. From today's perspective, after over 20 years of experience in classic car model building, we were now ready to recreate this dream vehicle with an elegance and unsurpassed aesthetics that could not be outdone by anything else, with the "Teardrop" bodywork by the French sheet metal virtuosos Figoni & Falaschi, as a top-class high-end model.

When the decision was made at CMC to recreate the Talbot Lago Coupé with its Figoni & Falaschi "Teardrop" body as a model, our model builders' pulse quickened and the joy of being able to replicate such a work of art was immense. But at the same time, there was also the challenge and obligation to do justice to this demanding project.
Many experts around the globe agree that this vehicle can no longer be judged by the usual standards applicable to automobiles. The Talbot Lago with the body built by the famous French coachbuilders Figoni & Falaschi is an appearance from another planet. The car is simply what would be called "state of the art" today.

When Talbot first presented the coupé at the Paris Motor Show in 1937, viewers were immediately enthralled. Everything about this fascinating vehicle and every detail testifies to a deep love and almost "obsession" for perfected design and suitable accessories. In addition, there was a metal sunroof, which was rare for the time. A luxuriously appointed interior with artful craftsmanship of noble wood and fine leather provided a feel-good atmosphere, and a silky smooth-running inline six-cylinder engine, which produced between 140 hp and 160 hp depending on the version, provided passengers with the highest driving pleasure.
When Anthony Lago, in 1937, agreed on an exclusive cooperation contract with the already internationally known Frenchman Giuseppe Figoni and his partner Ovidio Falaschi, the so-called "Teardrop" coupé emerged as the top product of this collaboration, which came onto the market between 1937-1939 with only 16 units produced. In the first production series, called "Jeancart", 5 units were built. The second production series was presented at the New York Auto Show in 1937 and included 11 vehicles which were exclusively manufactured with the T150C-SS chassis and a short wheelbase of 2,650 mm. This batch of vehicles went down in the Talbot-Lago annals as the "New York model". Each individual vehicle differed in hardly noticeable or even larger, striking details. A typical example here is the design of the headlights, which were either freely mounted between the radiator grille and the fenders, or embedded in the body, arranged behind a chrome-plated metal bar cover.
Anthony Lago, together with his chief engineer Walter Brecchia, were technologically far ahead of their time. First and foremost, the shortened and lightweight T150C-SS chassis should be mentioned. Independent wheel suspension, a Wilson 4-speed preselector gearbox, excellent brakes and, as already mentioned, a cultivated inline six-cylinder engine were the other technical highlights of this extraordinary vehicle.
