The model comes from an estate. This model was only stored in its original packaging after purchase and inspection. It was never displayed and is therefore in new condition. However, the original packaging does show signs of storage. Please look at all the pictures to see what you are getting.

Model History:
On September 12, 1963, Porsche unveiled the Type 901 at the IAA in Frankfurt as the successor to the Porsche 356. One year later, the model – by then ready for series production – was presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show. Peugeot intervened and, due to the protected zero in the middle of their own type designations, had the Porsche designation "901" banned.
Until Porsche reacted, exactly 82 series vehicles with the type designation "901" left the factory from September 14, 1964, the day production began. After that, the "901" became the "911" – the three-digit number sequence that became a legend and still makes every sports car enthusiast's heart beat faster today.
Porsche had already been thinking about the body shape in the 1950s. The design that was ultimately realized was developed by Ferdinand Alexander, Porsche's son. With his clear and simply beautiful design, he achieved a line that corresponded exactly to the zeitgeist of the 1960s – and still has an impact today. Ferry Porsche was absolutely right when he once said: "This type shaped the unmistakable character of the Porsche sports car." Even little boys dreamed of owning a "Neunelfer." Those who unfortunately couldn't afford one at least received a miniature from friends for their birthday, which henceforth took pride of place on the shelf.
Meanwhile, the 901 or 911 has its firm place in Olympus. To all who still dream of it – and of course all model fans – CMC now offers the 901 as a fantastically beautiful miniature, handcrafted from 971 parts – and thus finally a model that does justice to the original.
