Mercedes-Benz W25 A myth in white CMC M-065 -pre-owned

Description
June 3, 1934: On the eve of the Eifel Race at the Nürburgring, the inspection of the Mercedes-Benz W 25 racing cars, competing for the first time in the new 750 kg racing formula, takes place. The weigh-in of the single-seaters, painted in brilliant white, reveals a weight of 751 kg. A true catastrophe, as this means they are banned from the start. But the Mercedes crew doesn't give up so easily. The extra kilo has to go – but how? Finally, an ingenious solution is found: The only thing they don't need is the paintwork! So, the racing cars are completely sanded down in a long and strenuous night shift.
In the morning, a racing car with a gleaming silver aluminum body weighs exactly 750 kg and takes the starting line – and wins. A brilliant success for Mercedes-Benz and the winner, Manfred von Brauchitsch.
The enthusiastic press dubbed the racing car the "Silver Arrow." And rightly so: Of the eight Grand Prix races held in the first racing season, the silver speedsters won four first places and three second places. A myth was born that has lost none of its magic to this day.
