





























Mercedes-Benz (W100) 6-door Pullmann CMC M-200

Description
The Mercedes-Benz 600, also known internally as the W100, was the official state and representative car of Daimler-Benz in the 1960s and 1970s. This stylish, top-of-the-line vehicle was used worldwide and was the epitome of supreme perfection, high-end technology, comfort, exclusivity, and uniqueness.
The Pullman variant was and still is the largest passenger car of the post-war period.
In addition to its use as a state vehicle, Mercedes-Benz 600s were also owned by internationally renowned owners from politics, business, the aristocracy, and show business. These included such personalities as Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Emperor Hirohito, Aristotle Onassis, Elvis Presley, and John Lennon, to name just a few.
The "Grand Mercedes" debuted at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 1963. It was offered as a sedan, Pullman sedan, and landaulet.
The four-door sedan is just under two meters wide and 5.54 meters long; the Pullman sedan and the six-door version have an impressive length of 6.24 meters. A third variant, an open Pullman landaulet, was offered. It featured a fixed roof at the front above the driver/chauffeur and a convertible folding top in the rear passenger compartment. Two landaulet versions were offered: one with a long and one with a short rear top.
The classic Pullman had two rows of seats arranged face-to-face in the rear. The long version with six doors also offered a middle folding row of seats. This was intended for customers traveling with personal or bodyguards.
The vehicles were powered by a 6.3-liter, 250-hp V8 fuel-injected engine. This enabled the 2.6-ton sedan to reach top speeds of up to 205 km/h. This made the 600 the fastest production sedan in the world at the time.
The vehicles' comfort features included air suspension, a comprehensive hydraulic servo system, an electrically controlled heating and ventilation system, air conditioning, hydraulically adjustable seats, hydraulic window lifts, and hydraulically operated sunroofs.
When designing the interior, customers could choose between various fine wood veneers, velour upholstery, or the finest leather. There was also a bar in the rear with a refrigerator compartment, a car phone, and a retractable partition.
All in all, Daimler-Benz succeeded in creating a product with this luxury car that attracted international attention and became an incomparable automobile of its time.
CMC is keen to take on this challenge and has set itself the task of recreating the Mercedes-Benz Pullman six-door as an authentic all-metal model with unsurpassed equipment details in 2018/2019. It is intended to be a superlative miniature. Further variants remain reserved.
