The Maserati racing transporter
The 1950s and 1960s were the heyday of the still highly respected—or rediscovered—racing transporters. The largely identical vehicles of Scuderia Ferrari and Maserati were arguably among the most famous and technically sophisticated racing transporters of their time. They were based on a Fiat 642 RN2 bus chassis.
It became a racing transporter for three cars thanks to an open body by coachbuilder Bartoletti. Equipped with a 92 hp six-cylinder inline diesel engine, the racing teams' "workhorses" were, at first glance, only distinguishable by their exterior paintwork and advertising lettering. Only at second glance did one notice that the Maserati racing transporter differed in some respects from the Ferrari racing transporter.
Our model presented here is an exact replica of the Maserati racing transporter as it was used in transport operations. The result is impressive; you'll be thrilled.
A notice:
The model is delivered WITHOUT piggyback racing car!
