After this car was briefly used by Luigi Chinetti's NART racing team, it was acquired by Bob Grossman of Scuderia Bear. After its retirement, its greatest success was winning the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elégance in 1975. The car has been shown on occasion at events such as the 2005 Tour Auto and the 2008 Le Mans Classic. After a complete restoration, it was first seen again at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elégance in 2013.
In 1964, chassis 5909, driven by Bob Grossman and bearing starting number 90, finished second in class and third overall at the Nassau Tourist Trophy in late November. Also at the Nassau TT, which was held again in December of the same year, Grossman won his class and finished fourth overall. He was registered for both races under the Scuderia Bear logo.
