Today I am offering a collection from a former CMC dealer and  long-time collector of these beautiful models. Almost all of them are in new condition in their original packaging with all accessories as shown in my photos. If the model has leather straps to close the hoods, these have never been opened. In many cases, the security stickers are still present. Everything should be clearly visible in the photos. One or two original packages may show signs of storage.

You will receive an invoice according to §25a UstG without showing the statutory VAT for used goods.

Not suitable for children under 14 years. May contain small and sharp parts.

Model History:

The first-time participation of the newly developed Ferrari 250 GTOs, which entered the race with great anticipation and high expectations, was spectacular at the thirtieth 24 Hours of Le Mans, held from June 23-24, 1962. The race was also the 8th round of the World Sportscar Championship. New this time was that the participating vehicles were divided into 18 different racing classes. Among others, the later overall winning team of Olivier Gendebien / Phil Hill competed in the experimental class in a powerful Ferrari 330 TRI/LM Testa Rossa Spyder.

In the GT class, Ferrari's new trump card, the 250 GTO with chassis no. 3705 and road registration MO-77914, was entered under the Belgian/French driver pairing Pierre Noblet/Jean Guichet. A racing team with extensive endurance racing experience, prudence, and excellent driving skills. 55 teams started on the 13.461 km long circuit. After 24 hours and 331 laps completed = 4,451.255 km, the driver team Olivier Gendebien / Phil Hill could celebrate as the overall winners. The average speed was 185.469 km/h, with Phil Hill achieving the fastest lap in the Ferrari 330 TRI LM Spyder in 3:57.700 = 204.202 km/h.

However, the results of the winning pair in the GT class, Pierre Noblet / Jean Guichet in the Ferrari 250 GTO with start number 19 and the tricolore racing stripes in blue, white, and red on the bodywork, were also impressive. In the 24 hours, the two drivers covered a total of 4,384.136 km. This corresponds to 326 laps driven at an average speed of 182.67 km/h. In addition to their GT class victory, this performance earned them an excellent 2nd place in the overall standings. Among the top six finishers were three GTOs alone. Thus, Le Mans 1962 was one of the most successful racing events for Ferrari to date.
