Italian privateer racing driver Sergio Bettoja was the first owner of this 250 GTO. He debuted it in June 1962 at the Parma-Poggio Hill Climb and then sold it to Count Volpi, who then campaigned it at Le Mans. In April 1963, chassis 3445GT was sold to Ulf Norinder, who had it painted in Swedish racing colors (blue with a yellow center stripe) and campaigned it with some success well into the 1964 season, competing in the Targa Florio, the 2000km Daytona, the 500km Spa, and Monza. From 1965 onward, the car had several owners until 2012, when #3445GT underwent a comprehensive restoration at Ferrari Classiche.

The car presented by CMC was #3445GT, with which Norinder and Troberg achieved 9th place overall and 2nd place in class at the 1964 Targa Florio with starting number #112

with start number #112 to a 9th OA and 2nd IC finish at Targa Florio 1964.
