CMC celebrates its 20-year anniversary in 2015. To mark the occasion, we will release a special edition of the Mercedes-Benz W25, featuring a very realistic after-race appearance of this car. Limited to 1,000 pieces for worldwide distribution, this “Dirty Hero” model comes with a black acrylic base plate and an anniversary-commemoration name plaque.
After Daimler-Benz staged a comeback to the Grand Prix racing scene in 1934, Manfred von Brauchitsch was crowned with victory at the Eifel Race of the Nürburgring. The newly-developed Mercedes W25 that he raced with starting number 20 became a legend and also known as the first “Silver Arrow.”
This edition of the Mercedes-Benz W25 is meant to bring to our fans and collectors the recollections of what this winning car looked like at the finish line. Mud splashes, wear and tear on the drum brake and tires, road dust, traces of oil, water, and gas leakage, and a rear end blackened by exhaust fume are all visible evidence of the hardships that the winner had to go through.
In this way, a new type of CMC model is born. It is refreshingly different from what we usually offer, but will find its followers who appreciate the memory and miniature of a winning car in its after-race looks.
